Holophane, lighting, industrial lighting, car parks

Holophane has published a brochure on industrial lighting solutions to provide comprehensive guidance on energy-efficient lighting design and control for typical industrial environments — from the car park through to production areas. Its scope includes the use of PIRs and control systems to conserve energy, capture data on energy savings, operational efficiency and flexibility.

Volumetric lighting principles are clearly explained, and the benefits of well controlled light output via precise prismatic refractors are illustrated, showing the importance of even illumination on both the horizontal and vertical planes.

The need to consider both horizontal and vertical illumination is shown to be crucial in creating a well lit environment with reduced glare and an improved visual acuity for operatives.

Case studies cover internal and exterior lighting applications.
