Calfordseaden ticks the boxes for new Royal Dock development
Multi-disciplinary consultancy, Calfordseaden is delivering an extensive scope of works to Royal Albert Wharf redevelopment.
Located in London Royal Docks, Royal Albert Wharf is the first phase of a major redevelopment of the Gallions Reach area. Designed by Maccreanor Lavington Architects and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, the redevelopment will be built across two phases and will consist of approximately 90,000 square foot of commercial space and 818 residential units, including 257 affordable homes. Crucially, the project has already achieved a RICS award for London Residential Project of the Year. The commercial space has achieved a Very Good rating from BREEAM.
The first phase of the domestic build complies with Code for Sustainable Homes Level Four and the enhanced energy requirements of the London Plan.
Calfordseaden worked with Notting Hill Genesis in the initial stages of developing an energy centre that would generate a community heating system.
Calfordseaden developed a master plan that ensured all the utility and heat services were installed in the roads during phase one. This prevented the road being dug up again further down the line, disrupting residents.
