Zumtobel takes Silver with acdc

Zumtobel, acdc

Zumtobel Group brands Zumtobel Lighting and acdc were chosen to supply the luminaires for the prestigious £65million Silver Fin office development. The new building will provide state-of-the-art office space in Aberdeen with Zumtobel’s MLV, Slotlight and Panos fittings along with acdc’s Orelle 24 and Resclite ems fixtures installed to meet the stringent criteria of energy savings throughout.

The Silver Fin building branding relates to a number of vertical aluminium fins, which clad all elevations of the tower. The 132,000 sq. ft. building comprises nine floors of open plan office space, a four storey reception hall, five 17-person passenger lifts; and unrivalled views across Aberdeen City Centre and beyond. The development is expected to play a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the west end of Union Street, Aberdeen’s key civic thoroughfare.

The specified lighting utilised Zumtobel’s latest generation of Mellow Light V chosen for its unrivalled efficiency and impressive design for the new Grade A office space. Its understated stylistic idiom is teamed with uncompromising lighting technology that achieves light output ratio levels of up to 96 percent and low direct glare.
