Mark Shirburne Davies, facilities solutions director with BAA, explains that these appointments were made swiftly as early-stage design and development work needed to be commenced at the end of February. ‘We received high-quality proposals from all the companies who we invited to tender. All the proposals were carefully assessed, and our decisions have been based on a number of key criteria.
‘The selected companies are all preferred BAA suppliers. Fosters and Hoare Lea are working on multiple projects across our seven airports, whilst Arup is currently working on Terminal 5.’
