The ultimate fire-free environment

deep store
The possibility of a fire starting in an underground archive store in Cheshire has been prevented using Wagner’s OxyReduct system. The facility is operated by DeepStore and is 150 m below ground in a rock-salt mine. OxyReduct creates an environment in which a fire cannot start by continuously reducing the oxygen concentration in a closed area by adding nitrogen to the air so that an open fire is impossible. In addition, people can enter and work in the area at any time. There are two storage units with a combined capacity of 18 5000 m3. They are protected by a single OxyReduct system.
