Lochinvar gets five stars at new youth hostel

youth hotel
The installation of two Lochinvar modulating condensing boilers to provide hot water for Whitby’s new youth hostel nears completion.
The new flagship youth hostel in Whitby, which offers accommodation for a hundred people has its water-heating requirements met by two gas-fired, wall-hung, modulating condensing boilers supplied by Lochinvar. These CP-M120 boilers can achieve up to 109.5% efficiency and have robust, compact stainless-steel heat exchangers. They were specified by Brentwood Design Partnership of Harrogate and installed by Geoffrey Robinson Ltd. All components are accessible from the front for servicing. Built-in cascade control is a standard feature, enabling two boilers to be optimised. Flue options include concentric or twin-pipe balanced flues. This hostel is due to open in spring 2007 in a Grade 1 listed building next to Whitby Abbey.
