Excellent performance of Grundfos acknowledged

Grundfos Pumps has won through as a finalist for the UK Business Excellence Award for the second year running — winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Award. Other finalists included TNT and Siemens. The assessment team was particularly impressed by the Grundfos approach to integrating people with learning disabilities, either physical or emotional, into its workplace, through a partnership with Remploy, in an integrated unit within the Grundfos headquarters at Leighton Buzzard. Grundfos’s probation scheme gained a special mention from the assessors. This scheme is in its second year and offers ex-prisoners a one-year initial contract to give them the opportunity to integrate back into society while gaining additional skills.
