HNC graduates at Briggs & Forrester

Three apprentices with building-services engineers Briggs & Forrester have achieved HNCs in building-services engineering. They were presented with their certificates at the recent graduation ceremony at New College, Nottingham. From the left are Will Newman, Alice Doughty and Dave Newman. They were supported through four years of training by the company. Justin Van Walwyk, associate director who oversees technical training, said, ‘We are proud of the achievements of Will, Alice and Dave, all of whom have worked hard to complete both practical and course work. We wish them every success for the future.’

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
