Luminaires perform in tough environments

Luminaire
Designed for arduous applications is the Apollo range of IP65 Class II rated fluorescent luminaires with sealed adjustable reflectors.
Apollo luminaires made by Pracht are designed for more aggressive environments — being waterproof, dust proof and chemical proof. They are available from Sill Lighting UK and have housings of white GRP-reinforced flame-resistant polyester resin, which is resistant to acid and alkalis. Reflector systems are sealed and come in wide-beam and narrow-beam versions. Both types can have specular reflectors for maximum efficiency or clear tube for all-round light distribution. Cross-blade louvres can be specified, and diffusers come in acrylic impact-resistant polycarbonate or impact-resistant acrylic ‘prachtopal’. The fluorescent luminaires are available in T8 versions for lamps from 18 to 58 W and or T5 versions for lamps from 24 to 80 W. Changing lamps is a single-handed operation as lamp holders and reflectors have retaining straps so they do not fall away when released.
