Exit signs use LEDs to minimise maintenance

LED sign
With a lamp life of 60 000 h, Menvier’s Evoled exit signs have very low maintenance requirements.
Menvier’s Evoled range of exit signs minimise the requirements for maintenance by using LED lamps with a life of 60 000 h. They comply with the performance requirements of EN1838 and provide maintained operation with a 3 h duration. They can also be specified as self-contained units or as slave units for use with static inverters. Lamp integrity on the self-contained versions is automatically monitored by an integral self-test facility, further reducing maintenance requirements. This facility verifies the light output of individual LEDs during testing. Self-contained versions can also be specified to operate with central testing. The long life and low energy consumption of Evoled units are said to make them ideal for operating in maintained mode in buildings where people may not be familiar with their surroundings — such as leisure centres, shops, railway stations and airports.
