Stiebel Eltron’s new factory in German can produce 40 000 heat pumps a year.
Stiebel Eltron has opened a new heat-pump factory in Germany that can make 70 different types of heat pump. They will be available in the UK through Applied Energy Products. The 6000 m2 factory represents an investment of nearly £7 million. Five production lines will make ground- and air-source heat pumps of every configuration. Richard Scott of Applied Energy says, ‘This is just the first phase. The number of new renewable-energy products will double in the coming months. Here in the UK, the demand for heat pumps of every kind continues to grow.’
