Water softeners have very low salt usage

Water softening with low salt consumption, the Hydroion range from Hydrotec.
Hydrotec’s Hydroion range of salt regenerative water softeners comes in 12 sizes to serve flow rates o up to 17 m3/h. All units are available in simplex and duplex formats with timer or flow proportional control. Bespoke solutions can be produced for higher flows. The brining (salt draw) system has been optimised to achieve very low salt usage compared to traditional systems. An optional resin disinfection unit (chlorinator) helps keep the resin bed clean and free from micro-biological growth. The units are designed for ease of installation, particularly the duplex units, which are provided with interconnecting pipework. System water meters come with pre-assembled union couplings to minimise time and cost on site.
