Flowcrete shows its versatility at state-of-the-art sports village

Flowcrete
Nearly 3000 m2 of Flowcrete’s Floorzone solution, including underfloor heating, has been installed in this leisure centre at Stirling.

Underfloor heating based on Flowcrete’s Floorzone solution has been installed in a £27 million sports village in Stirling. The Peak has been developed for Stirling Council and includes a 9-court sports hall, 6-sheet ices rink and a 25 m 6-lane swimming pool. There are also health and fitness facilities, 12 m climbing wall and licensed restaurant.

Floorzone incorporates Flowcrete’s Isowarm underfloor heating, Isocrete K-Screed and decorative resin finishes — all installed by Flowcrete approved contractors.

The system serves the gymnasium, entrance reception, foyer, main areas and changing facilities — a total area of nearly 3000 m2. Temperature can be individually controlled in each zone.

Flowcrete’s Flowcoat SF41 coating was also installed, along with Flowfast flooring, which is ready for use in a few hours, in a decorative quartz finish. It has an anti-slip finish.

Architects were S&P Architects with Vaughan Engineering as M&E contractor.
