Powerminster secures 25-year FM contract

Powerminster Gleeson has started work on a 25-year facilities-management contract involving 39 schemes within the Leeds Independent Living Accommodation Consortium (LiLAC). The contract for this PFI project includes providing both hard and soft facilities-management services.

It includes the life-cycle replacement of boilers, light fittings and white goods. It also includes electrical and mechanical services, cleaning drains, and maintenance of heating and lighting.

Michael Walton, scheme manager for Powerminster Gleeson Services, says, ‘This is a major contract win for us and demonstrates our expertise in offering a full facilities-management contract for residential properties.’

LiLAC will deliver purpose-designed new homes for 343 adults with learning disabilities and mental-health needs. Work on the £60 million contract is due for completion in June 2010
