Bailey Teswaine has secured a £2.8 million services contract for the redevelopment of the BBC’s Broadcasting House in central London. The contract is for cabling and was awarded through the Office of Government Commerce framework.

Worked started on site in February, with Bailey Teswaine responsible for the installation of a high-performance Systimax X10D cabling solution covering 28 500 m2. This is the second phase of the redevelopment of Broadcasting House, the first-phase refurbishment having been completed in 2006. Once completed, the BBC will have a combined news centre for national and international journalism.

Bailey Teswaine has previously worked on the BBC MediaCity UK project in Salford Quays.
