Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial, both part of Baxi Commercial Division, offer an extensive range of LZC (low- to zero-carbon) products that can be integrated with more tradition plant-room equipment such as direct-fire water heaters and boilers to reduce running costs and carbon emissions for commercial buildings.

The Ambiflow air-to-water heat pump (pictured left) from Andrews can be used to preheat mains water to support gas-fired water heaters used to produce domestic hot water.

These units are installed outdoors in a weatherproof steel case. There are two units with outputs of 16 and 20 kW. They achieve a COP of 3.2 with air at 2°C and water at 35°C.

Complementing Potterton Commercial’s range of condensing boilers is the Geoflo ground-source heat pump (pictured right), with an output of 21.3 kW and a COP of 4.7. They are well suited to underfloor heating.
