Glow-worm enhances its hot-water cylinders

Glow-worm has enhanced its range of stainless-steel hot-water cylinders.
Glow-worm has upgraded its range of hot-water cylinders with better packaging of the motorised valve. The gear system of the 2-port valve supplied with the cylinder has been strengthened and the depth of the main cog nearly doubled from 3.4 mm to 6.4 mm. The packaging of the water-inlet group has also been improved. The main improvement is to the security of the grub screw used to secure the expansion valve; the manifold is now sealed in a plastic bag for installer convenience. There are six cylinders with capacities from 115 to 300 l, which can be used on almost any type of domestic-hot-water system. They are made of welded stainless steel with laser-welded seams and come with a guarantee that the shell will not be perforated in 25 years of normal use. Heat loss is just 1.7 kWh in 24 h, and recovery time is as little as 20 min.
