Two contractors deliver complete services package for sixth-form college

In another complete package, Shouksmiths and Morfitts have completed the £700 000 building-services contract for the new sixth-form centre at Norton College in Malton.

Working with main contractor Redworth Construction, the project comprised the installation of all the M&E and plumbing services for this 2-storey facility, which includes classrooms, gym, media centre, learning centre and cafe/diner. Shouksmiths and Morfitts also installed all the building services for the college’s new sports hall, outdoor floodlit tennis courts, farm buildings and an animal-care building.

Environmentally friendly solutions incorporated into the design of the buildings include solar collectors and a rainwater-harvesting system to supply WCs and urinals.
