Inviron facilitates big change to London cityscape

Inviron

Inviron has completed the technical services for One New Change, a Land Securities development in the City of London. This iconic building designed by architect Jean Nouvel has views of St Paul’s’ Cathedral. Its eight floors will house 3000 office workers and 60 retail outlets, as well as cafes and restaurants — including Barbecoa, Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry-Lang’s latest venture.

A 150 m-deep ground-source energy system has helped the project achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, and the project is thought to be the largest commercial application of this technology in Europe.

Neil Johnson, FM&S director with Inviron, said, ‘Providing the technical services for such a large multi-use building is complex, so we started the mobilisation process very early on to ensure that the entire team gathered in-depth knowledge of One New Change and its systems to facilities high levels of service as the building opens.
