Biomass boiler disposes of waste and delivers heating

Euroheat, Fabbri, biomass boiler, wood
Rather than being send to landfill, waste pallets and cardboard in this factory in Leominster are burned to deliver space heating.

The installation of a 400 kW Fabbri wood-biomass boiler from Euroheat at Thomas Panels & Profiles has solved several problems in one hit. Waste from the company’s manufacturing process includes wooden pallets and packaging, which used to be sent to landfill. Now they are burnt in the boiler to provide heat for the 80 x 40 m building in Leominister.

The company is one of the UK’s biggest independent manufacturers and merchants of roofing and cladding sheets for industrial and agricultural buildings. The doors of this enormous and airy factory are constantly opening and closing, which used to require workers to wear hats and scarves while they worked in Winter — no longer the case since the Fabbri boiler was installed.
