Over 17 km of cable tray, ladder and trunking, together with thousands of ancillary parts and accessories for the One New Change development in the City of London were supplied by Metstrut in a £200 000 contract. This mixed-use development comprises 30 000 m2 of prestigious office space and 20 000 m2 of retail space comprising shops, cafes and restaurants. It is one of the largest consolidated retail spaces in central London.

In view of the location and access to the site, electrical contractor T. Clarke needed suppliers that could guarantee stock availability and efficient delivery to site on a daily basis. There was also a need to source from a single supplier to minimise the number of deliveries to site.

Metsec Cable Management was selected as the preferred supplier of cable-management systems through distributor WF Electrical.

Metsec’s commercial manager Manjit Singh said, ‘Our stock levels and manufacturing capabilities enabled us to guarantee product availability and, as we deliver to central London on a daily basis, scheduling of deliveries to One New Change was relatively straightforward.’
