Bitzer compressor is engineered for higher efficiencies

Bitzer compressor

The variable speed that can be achieved with the integrated frequency inverter is the key to the optimum energy-efficient performance of Bitzer’s CSV compact screw compressor. These intelligent compressors use R134a and achieve an ESEER of over five. Applications include air-cooled direct-expansion chillers and heat pumps.

The wide speed-control range of the CSV compressor is based on a integrated Vi slide valve that adapts the variable Vi automatically to the prevailing operating point.

The electronics is cooled by the refrigerant to maximise reliability and reduce maintenance requirements. Soft start minimises start-up current.

CSV compressors can communicate via Modbus with the primary control unit. These compressors recognise their application limits and send a warning message to the primary plant controller if specified parameters are exceeded. If the limit value is exceeded for too long, the compressor will shut down automatically to prevent the possibility of the system failing.
