Pipe Center has supplied 288 prefabricated modules for the new sixth-form building of Newcastle College.

Prefabricated pipework is a design feature of Newcastle College’s new sixth-form building. Pipe Center worked with Vaughan Engineering Group to design and develop 288 modules which will contain the building’s main services. These modules comprise electrical containments, heating, chilled water and domestic services.

Pipe Center and Vaughan Engineering Group worked to a tight 6-week timescale from initial order to the first batch arriving on site.

‘We’re working to strict deadlines,’ explains Andy Mcleod, project manager at Vaughan Engineering. ‘The nature of the site also meant we had to work with our client to ensure deliveries were carefully timed and controlled. Using Pipe Center’s modular-engineering facility has saved us a considerable amount of time.’
