Iris dampers for circular ducts are small and effective

dampers
In sizes from 100 to 800 mm, ABB’s Iris duct dampers are available in the UK from all branches of CCL Veloduct.
CCL Veloduct is now the sole importer of ABB’s Iris duct dampers, and offers them from all its branches. These dampers are quick and easy to install and control airflow in either direction. The iris mechanism is similar to the shutter in a camera and minimises the overall dimensions of the damper. Since the damper can be fully opened, no access is required for cleaning. Dampers can be used near to elbows and T pieces without causing turbulence in the air stream. All units have combined measurement and regulation ports, which can be used to measure the pressure when commissioning the system. Dampers also have a built-in scale to give easy reference to the variation in air volume through the duct at different settings. Electric actuators are available. All sizes from 100 to 800 mm have a rotary adjustment knob to prevent unauthorised adjustment and help ensure the airtightness of the casing.
