Weatherite Building Services has signed an agreement with Minkels to install and service its Varicondition-DX cooling solution for server rooms. The agreement means Weatherite will install, commission, service and maintain systems throughout the UK.

Varicondition-DX is an energy-efficient cooling solution for server rooms with volumes up to 65 m3 and does not necessarily require a raised floor. Units are placed close to IT equipment, which shortens the air-distribution path significantly, improving reliability and reducing energy costs.

Mike Turton, managing director of WBS, said. ‘We are delighted to have signed this agreement with such a well respected manufacturer of sustainable data-centre and server-room solutions as Minkels.’
