Mikrofill — a new addition to the Premiership

Mikrofill, space heating, DHW, boiler
Serving the banqueting suite of Aston Villa FC is a Mikrofill DHW system.

Mikrofill is now in the premier league with the upgrade of plant for the banqueting suite of Aston Villa FC. Wall-mounted stainless-steel condensing boilers, hot-water-loading cylinders and pressurisation equipment were supplied by Mikrofill and installed by mechanical-services contractor Lord Combustion Services.

A bank of Rapide Extreme loading cylinders is fed by three Ethos 90 kW condensing boilers that can modulate down to just 12 kW.

The loading cylinders ensure the boilers operate in condensing mode while produce over 2570 l/h of hot water at 60°C. This system has proved more than capable of meeting the round-the-clock demand of the heavily scheduled entertainment facilities.

The project was overseen and managed by Josh Tooth, assistant stadium manager at Aston Villa.
