Mounting solar panels onto flat roofs

Big Foot Systems, Solar thermal, SolarPV, PV, renewable energy

Big Foot Systems offers a comprehensive range of non-penetrative frameworks that provide a highly engineered solution for mounting photo-voltaic and solar-thermal panels on flat roofs. In addition to supplying products from the Solar Support range, Big Foot can tailor a bespoke solution.

The Solar Support range includes Solar Fix-it frames and Solar Leg frames to provide a quickly installed solution using 600 x 600 x 50 mm 40 kg paving slabs as ballast. Standard systems for 10°, 20° and 30° panel systems are available from stock and delivered flat pack in kit form. Custom layouts are available to order.

The company’s service includes using computational fluid dynamics to take into account local wind speed and topography to calculate the optimum amount of ballast for a frame.
