Entry-level 3-phase voltage optimisation

Marshall-Tufflex, voltage optimisation, optimiser

Four 3-phase multi-tap voltage-optimisation systems from Marshall-Tufflex offer quicker installation, faster payback and greater flexibility in use. There are four sizes of unit (100, 200, 300 and 400 A) with three tapping settings, which can be changed at any time if the mains voltages changes significantly in the future. They are available direct from electrical wholesalers.

The multi-tap transformer drops the voltage by 11% if the incoming mains is 245 V or above, 9% for 240 V or 6% for 235 V.

Jeremy Dodge, head of marketing and technical services, explains, ‘This is a simplified approach to voltage optimisation but with the bonus that each Voltis ECO unit will maximise savings across a broad range of incoming mains levels. Voltis ECO will appeal to customers who do not have voltage-dependent equipment and whose electrical consumption is characterised by consistent, steady loads where intelligent control for more dynamic loads is not always necessary. In short, Voltis ECO offers a budget-conscious and highly efficient method of reducing power bills and carbon emissions.’

For more sophisticated voltage-optimisation solutions, Marshall-Tufflex offers higher-specification Voltis systems with control software, automatic neutral-switching bypass, intelligent operation and visual display functions.
