Durapipe HTA serves apartments in Reading

Durapipe, plastic pipework
A cost-effective pipework installation for this residential development in Reading was provided using Durapipe HTA pipework.

Durapipe’s HTA pipework has been installed in new-build apartments on an exclusive housing development in Reading to provide a cost-effective solution for hot- and cold-water services. Turnpike Plumbing used HTA pipe in sizes up to 63 mm to transport hot and cod water from the main water-storage tank to each of the 250 apartments in Portman Square.

This development by David Wilson Homes is in the city centre. It comprises homes with two, three and four bedrooms and apartments with two bedrooms.

Peter Clarke of Turnpike Plumbing commented, ‘This was our first time with Durapipe products, and we were incredibly impressed by HTA as it provided an easy installation process and offered a low-cost pipework system.’

HTA pipe is light in weight and easy to handle on site. The easy solvent-welding jointing technique eliminated the need for hot works and offers significant savings in time and cost during the installation stage. Its resistance to corrosion and limescale increase the lifespan of the pipework.
