What a load of Wallies

Wessex Group
Just another working day at Wessex Group...

Wessex Group’s office in Shaftesbury was over-run by staff dressing like the lead character in the ‘Where’s Wally? books to raise money for Children in Need. Staff paid at least £2 to turn up for work wearing red-and-white hooped tops, bobble hats and round spectacles. An the company chipped in a further £5 for each Wally to bring the total to £475.

The Wessex Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and making a donation to a charity each month.

Group director Simon Morgan said, ‘Usually we have a dress-down day when staff pay to come in what they like. But this year the “Wally” theme emerged, and everyone thought it would be fun to turn up dressed as the same thing. It was an odd day in the building with so many Wallies wandering around, but it was for a good cause.’
