Spirax EasiHeat engineered systems for delivering hot water and heating on demand have been enhanced to achieve energy savings of up to 20% compared to conventional steam-to-water heating systems. EasiHeat now features the Spirax Intelligent Monitoring system (SIMS) control and monitoring display technology that makes it easy to save energy and control critical applications.

A colour touchscreen displays key performance data such as steam use, fuel consumption and temperature. This information helps operators monitor energy more closely and adjust the system to optimise efficiency. The interface is intuitive and can be used by operators with limited control experience.

Even without SIMS, EasiHeat systems typically offer energy savings of 6 to 10% compared with traditional systems based on shell-and-tube exchangers. The new system delivers a further 10% energy saving by ensuring all the useful energy is extracted from the steam before the resulting condensate is returned to the boiler,

EasiHeat is a ready-to-install engineered system that uses steam in a compact plate-and-frame heat exchanger to provide instant hot water for space heating, DHW or process applications. There is no need for a buffer or storage tank. Output temperatures can be controlled to within ±1 K.

EasiHeat typically replaces the traditional calorifiers used in hospitals, eliminating a potential source of legionella.

Control protocols supported include Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus and BACnet.
