Adding the benefits of electronic expansion valves to existing air-conditioning systems
The benefits of electronic expansion valves can be added to existing and new air-conditioning systems using Airedale’s new remote electronic expansion valve.
Airedale’s new remote electronic expansion valve (REEV) brings the efficiency and control of electronic expansion valves to split systems, providing stable and accurate control of the refrigeration system superheat. Installation simply involves fitting the REEV at the evaporator, with the control box within 5 m of the evaporator case. They can be easily applied in commercial, retail or leisure applications. These valves enable Airedale’s range of Ultima Comact condensing units to be matched with air-handling units of any manufacture in a 1-1 circuit match, regardless of size. They can be simply retrofitted to existing systems. Evaporator performance is increased through accurate control of refrigerant and superheat. By reducing the head-pressure control setting, the system’s energy-efficiency ratio can be increased by up to 30%.
