Controller for Lennox air-conditioning equipment

Comprehensive and interactive control of the Lennox range of air-conditioning equipment is provided by the Climatic 50 control module.
Lennox has developed a control module to maximise the performance of all its rooftop air conditioners and chillers. The Climatic 50 module enables Lennox Flexy and Baltic rooftops and EcoLogic, MCW and MCB chillers to be linked or connected to a building-management system via Modbus or LonTalk interfaces. The flash memory processor offers 100 different settings, providing an extremely wide range of options when the system is being commissioned. The controller can handle four time zones during each of the seven days of the week. With heat-pump equipment, the controllers automatically switch between heating and cooling. They can also change start time according to the outside temperature. Chillers are controlled so that water is always flowing through the heat exchanger when the chiller is operating. Control of electronic expansion valves ensures that the best efficiency is achieved from the refrigerant charge, while protecting the evaporator from liquid slugging. For services engineers, the Climatic 50 module provides over 100 readings for monitoring equipment and over 50 fault codes. The Lennox range of air-conditioning products includes liquid chillers from 10 to 1500 kW, packaged rooftops from 15 to 230 kW, central air-handling units and chilled-water terminals such as fan-coil units and cassettes.
