Bosch welcomes CHP carbon-tax exemption

A surge in demand for CHP is expected by Bosch Commercial & Industrial Heating following the recent Budget initiative to exempt CHP from the ‘carbon floor price’. Geoff Hobbs, business development director, ‘ says, ‘The announcement that CHP will be exempt from carbon tax means that it has never been more appropriate for industrial users to look at how CHP can help to reduce carbon emissions. This, combined with a growing list of other financial incentives, has positioned CHP as one of the most cost-effective solutions available to reduce the UK’s carbon usage.’

Geoff Hobbs continues, ‘CHP now arguably offers the most cost-effective way to reduce CO2, as well as other financial benefits to take advantage of. But as with all renewable and low-carbon technologies, well designed , installed and operated systems are the key to realising these savings.’
