SCS takes simple approach to smoke control panels

SCS

SCS Group offers a standardised range of smoke control panels through its retail arm (link below). The company’s view is that this step towards the commoditisation of simpler systems will make smoke-control projects easier and more cost effective for the market as a whole — freeing up SCS Group’s specialist engineers for more complex projects and/or BMS work.

Managing director Allan Meek explains that the company’s smoke controls can be configured very easily on site via an ASi controller or touchscreen — regardless of the building size.

This smoke-control range is being launched with systems for mechanical extract in high-rise buildings and jet-fan configurations in covered car parks. Selection is simply a case of defining the output or number of fans, size of building and requirements for ancillaries such as ATS or CO detectors.
