Grooved joints for copper tubes

Victaulic, mechanical joint, grooved joint, copper, pipe jointing

Victaulic’s grooved joining solution for copper pipework systems complies with EN 1057 half-hard copper tubing sizes from DN50 to DN150 (2 to 6 in). It can withstand pressures up to 24 bar, depending on the type and size of copper tubing.

The system is designed for HVAC and plumbing applications and is said to be twice as quick to install as alternative joining methods, reducing rework on systems by 10 to 15% compared to brazed or soldered systems. Joints can be readily taken apart and reassembled.

The product range comprises WRAS-approved Style 606 rigid couplings with grade EW EDPM gasket and a range of full-flow standard-radius wrought-copper fittings supplied with grooves.
