Air-conditioning company reaches new heights

Closewood Air Conditioning

Closewood Air Conditioning has completed a £600 000 project to install air conditioning systems and other services on nine floors of The Shard in London. Some 27 employees were working at any one time on the 8-month project, which included a hotel reception, lobby, staff areas, restaurants, catering area, Champagne bar, plant room, lounges and hotel rooms.

Managing director Dean Kirby said, ‘The Shard is our most prestigious project so far. It was also the most pressurised environment that we have worked in and the highest installation we have carried out.’
