Carrier has returned to the market for rooftop air conditioners with the launch of a range covering 7 to 120 kW.
Carrier has launched a complete range of rooftop packing air conditioners with capacities from 7 to 120 kW. The launch marks Carrier’s return to this sector after 20 years. The range includes drop-in replacements for traditionally popularly Carrier rooftop units used by supermarkets and stores throughout the UK. Heat-pump models enable these packages to provide heating and cooling for shop units or complete shopping malls. Gas-fired models will be introduced early in 2006. Al these units use R407C or R410A, enabling old plant to be moved away from R22 without removing or replacing ductwork or adapting roof curbs or plant layout. Scroll compressors are used. Accessories include electric heaters, hot-water coils, power exhaust, high-efficiency filters, high-static-pressure transmission, differential enthalpy sensors and roof curbs. Most new models incorporate Pro-dialog micro-processor control. They use a patented defrosting system to remove ice completely and the Carrier metering system for accurate control of refrigerant and optimum operation. An economiser system provides all the advantages of free cooling. Carrier’s open-protocol 3V control can be incorporated to enable constant-air-volume technology to provide more economical variable-air volume. Carrier offers a project-management and system-replacement service, which can include maintenance and monitoring.
