Gilberts scores at football academy

Gilberts, Blackpool, ventilation, grille, diffuser

Effective ventilation for the City Football Academy in Manchester is provided by a host of products from Gilberts of Blackpool. The academy reached the LEED gold standard, helped by the various ventilation grilles and diffusers from this local manufacturer.

Gilberts’ products feature in the ceilings and floors of the central training facility for Manchester City’s first team, the NW development building for up to 400 young players and the facilities-management building. As well as a number of bespoke units, standard GRC circular multi-cone diffusers, GFSS floor swirl diffusers and HGH high-strength sports and gymnasium grilles have all been used.

Gilberts’ managing director Jonathan Haslam observes, ‘We understand that some 70% of the recruitment and procurement for the academy project has been local. Gilberts is the north west’s leading air-movement specialist, and with our in-house design, engineering and R&D capability, we have the resources and capability to deliver similar sustainable excellence.’
