Screw compressors

The HallScrew HSS 3100 series of compressors from J & E Hall International has a stepless capacity-control system and is designed to use R134a and R407C. These compressors are designed for high-temperature applications. There are four models, with displacements at 50 Hz from 175 to 292 m3/h. All models have a new oil-management system, specially designed for the series, with a check valve on the delivery port, a built-in filter and connections for liquid injection and economiser.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
