A portable-appliance tester meeting the minimum requirements to comply with statutory requirements is available from Martindale. The EasyPAT is quick and easy to use. It carries out the mandatory earth-bond and insulation tests, plus a fuse test. Earth-continuity tests can be carried out at 8 A, 25 A and 100 mA, enabling all appliances, including personal computers, to be tested.
