heat pumps
The future for space heating and hot water — Dimplex has introduced a range of heat pumps to the UK market.
Dimplex has launched a range of heat pumps in response to the growing demand for sustainable, low-carbon heating solutions. The company has over 25 years’ experience in making ground-source and air-to-water heat pumps, primarily for the German, Swiss and Austrian markets. There are thousands of installations in Europe. Chris Davis, marketing manager with Dimplex, says, ‘The launch of the new range in the UK has been planned in time to meet what’s set to be a major growth area in the heating sector. ‘Government incentives such as the Clear Skies programme, which provides grants of up to £1200 for heat-pump installations, are encouraging demand for this type of product.’ The Dimplex range includes ground-source and air-to-water heat pumps, many suitable for single-phase installation. Innovative products include an 8 kW Compact air-to-water heat pump that comes as an all-in-one package for indoor installation. A national network of approved installers is being established, along with training facilities.
