To provide realistic training scenarios for firefighters, Nu-way is providing gas-fired burners at facilities for Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service and Hereford Fire Station. For the rescue service, an RGL 120 high/low gas burner was supplied, installed and tested by Nu-way for the station’s breathing apparatus training chamber. It can produce temperatures of 40°C and is coupled with smoke generators to produce realistic yet safe fire simulations. The new burner uses LPG, gives lower NOx emissions than the equipment it replaces and has adjustable flame-tube projection. Its output range is 13 to 288 kW. Nu-way is also working with Hereford Fire Station to design and install the same equipment for their training procedures.
