Glasgow tenants warm to Ferroli

Boiler
Ferroli’s Modena 80 boilers are being installed in thousands of council homes across Glasgow to provide efficient heating and hot water.
Ferroli combination boilers are providing energy efficient heating and hot water as art of a wide-ranging programme of property improvements by Glasgow Housing Association. Work in thousands of council homes across Glasgow includes new kitchens and bathrooms, rewiring and security upgrades — as well as the installation of Ferroli Modena 80 combi boilers. About 40 new boilers are being installed each week. Most of the Modena 80 boilers being installed are 24 kW models and are fitted as part of new kitchens. They can provide up to 9.7 l/min of hot water at 35 K temperature rise. The Modena range is said to be 30% smaller and 40% lighter than traditional combi boilers. They have a double heat exchanger that does not require a diverter valve; there are thus fewer components to go wrong and the domestic hot water supply continues even if the pump fails.
