Electricity meter has six monitoring channels

Carlo Gavazzi, electricity meter, load monitor

Carlo Gavazzi has expanded its EM200 series of load monitors with the EM280, which can monitor six channels of up ot 32 A each. The six channels can cover two 3-phase loads or six single-phase loads. The device can create a single meter to provide the sum of all loads in one meter.

There are Modbus + Pulse or Modbus + Modbus versions, both of which can transmit data to PCs and PLCs for full load control. All electrical parameters can be sent via the serial port for integration with BMSs and other standard acquisition-monitoring systems.

The self-powering detachable display enables the meter to be mounted on a front panel with just a 72 mm-square footprint or on a DIN rail, with a space requirement of four modules wide. The input can be from current transformers.

The EM280 can be fitted quickly and is especially suited to critical load applications such as data centres and hospitals or when detailed cost allocation is required, such as in shopping centres or shared commercial properties.
