JS Air Curtains ensures welcome to visitors to i360 in Brighton

JS Air Curtains

JS Air Curtains has supplied 12 Mini Optima air curtains for the doorways of the British Airways i360 observation attraction in Brighton. They were chosen as the best fit for the curved inner and outer doorways and were supplied in lengths of 1 and 1.5 m to suit the various entrance widths. A grey RAL9006 colour was chosen for the zinc-plated steel casing to blend in with the interior design.

Mini Optima air curtains are available as single-phase or, as for this project, 3-phase options for electric heating. Heating can also be via LPHW, and there is an air-only model. Power connections are on the top of the unit so the casing does not need to be opened for wiring.

A micro-perforated inlet grille filters the incoming air; the only maintenance needed is a wipe or vacuuming.

British Airways i360 is on Brighton seafront and is the world’s first vertical cable car. At 162 m high, it is the world’s tallest moving observation tower.
