The global headquarters of virus-protection-software company Sophos features over 1000 m of linear slot diffusers with insulated plenums supplied by Gilberts. Linear bar grilles with narrow borders have also been installed, as well as chassis-type swirl diffusers. This high-tech, high-security building is on the Abingdon Science Park in Oxfordshire. For this project, type GSD linear diffusers were supplied with two to eight slots. Type GSFC swirl diffusers have been specially design to integrate into the square perforated ceiling panels for a smooth, continuous appearance. Specified by consultant Ernest Griffiths and installed by EMCOR Drake & Scull, the £170 000 project is a small part of this 3-storey £32 million development. The highly serviced IT-intensive building covers 13 500 m2 and provides accommodation for 600 people.
