Samsung appoints new air-conditioning distributor

Samsung Electronics has expanded its distribution channel for air-conditioning products with the appointment of United Refrigeration UK as a distributor. Steve Rees, general manager for Samsung air conditioning in the UK, says, ‘United Refrigeration is one of the largest independent distributors of air-conditioning, refrigeration parts and equipment. Samsung’s strategy this year is to strengthen and expand its market share. By working with United Refrigeration, we aim to take this further — working alongside them to develop their key customer base.’ Ron Paterson, commercial manager for United Refrigeration, says, ‘Our new partnership with Samsung offers our customers a wide range of air-conditioning products, including the new DVM2 range, giving our customers access to an all-round portfolio.’ United Refrigeration has nine branches in the UK.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
