SES wins major police services contract

SES Engineering Services

SES Engineering Services has won a £5 million contract to provide a full MEP package for the new headquarters of Lancashire Constabulary’s West Division in Blackpool. Marking the force’s largest investment in its history, the 3-storey building in Clifton Road will replace outdated facilities at Bonny Street.

Working to BIM Level 2, SES will be responsible for a full range of services — including lighting, photo-voltaic systems, building-management systems, power distribution and rainwater drainage. The energy-efficient building has been designed to meet a BREEAM ‘Very good’ rating.

The 8500 m2 building will provide contemporary office space, a 42-cell custody suite, a base for local neighbourhood policing and immediate-response teams, as well as an investigations hub.
