Hybrid fans achieve high energy efficiency

Nicotra, Gebhardt, fans, hybrid

Nicotra Gebhardt’s RQM MultiEvo range of hybrid fans is said to beat every traditional plug fan on energy efficiency, based on independent tests at ILK in Dresden. The optimisation of all key components includes a hollow-section aero-foil backward-curved impeller, a permanent-magnet internal-rotor motor rated at IE5 efficiency and integrated electronic controls.

RQM fans are compact and can be fitted at multiple access points for ease of maintenance and are ideal for both new-build and refurbishment/retrofit applications.

Depending on the fan size, RQM fans are 8 to 15% higher energy efficiency than ‘best-on-the-market’ traditional plug fans.

These directly driven hybrid centrifugal fans have multiple discharge outlets and static system efficiencies of up to 78%.

The range includes all standard fan diameters from 355 to 710 mm to provide performances of up to 6.5 m3/s and/or total pressures of up to 1750 Pa.
